HydroClean® cavity is indicated for the treatment of dry, mildly, and moderately exuding wounds, particularly those with impaired healing potential. The product is particularly suitable for the treatment of chronic and hard-to-heal wounds during the cleansing and granulation phases.
HydroClean® is a hydroactive wound dressing whose core component is a superabsorbent polyacrylate (SAP) embedded in cellulose and pulp fibers, which is activated (moistened) with Ringer’s solution.
HydroClean releases Ringer’s solution to the wound for up to three days. As the wound dressing simultaneously absorbs wound exudate, an interactive and continuous wound irrigation process begins. The SAP used in HydroClean inactivates matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) that interfere with wound healing, thereby reactivating a stagnant healing process in chronic wounds.
